Dacoit arrested

A member of the notorious Thokia gang, which is active in Uttar Pradesh, has been arrested in this district, police said today. Sitaram Gaud was arrested from a house in Mahtain forest yesterday. A gun and a few cartridges were seized from him. An abduction case was registered against him in 2004. He reportedly had relations with Ambika Prasad Patel alias Thokia gang, which was operating in the Banda district of Uttar Pradesh. -- (UNI) -- 14DR31.xml
