AIADMK Ambattur secretary hacked to death

An AIADMK functionary was hacked to death in broad daylight by a six-member gang at Padi near here today.Police sources said AIADMK Ambattur Town Secretary M R Ravi (42), was performing pooja in his office, when the heavily armed gang, which came on three two-wheelers, attacked him indiscriminately around 1030 hrs. Ravi, who suffered grievous cut injuries all over his body, was rushed to a private hospital, where he died at around 1430 hrs. A Senior Police official told UNI that five special teams have been formed to nab the culprits. Police suspect previous enmity to be the reason behind the murder.
