Jayaprada to campaign for assembly poll Chennai | April 22, 2006 9:33:59 PM IST Noted film actor and Samajwadi Party(SP) MP Jayaprada will spearhead the party's campaign for the May eight assembly elections in Tamil Nadu.The party is contesting in 70 constituencies in the state under the 'cycle' symbol. Besides Ms Jayaprada, SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav's son Akilesh Yadav, MP, party leader in Maharashtra Abu Azeem Azmi and senior leader Uday Pratap Singh will also visit the Tamil Nadu in the first week of May for campaign, a party release here said. The SP had formed 'Social Justice Front' in alliance with Republican Party of India, Peasants and Workers Party, Makkal Katchi, Marumalarchi Makkal Tamil Desam, Makkal Pudiya Tamilagam, Makkal Congress (Vazhapadiar) and Oppressed Communities Federation.
