Karunanidhi will not come to power in TN: Vaiko Pudukottai Tamil Nadu | April 10, 2006 7:33:40 PM IST Marumalarchi DMK general secretary Vaiko today asserted that DMK president M Karunanidhi will not come to power in the state.Addressing on election campaign Mr Vaiko said, ''If I say people want AIADMK government, our 'annan' (referring to DMK Chief Karunanidhi) gets angry. He is not accepting the truth.'' Mr Vaiko said people were living in peace under the AIADMK rule and the state was free from caste or communal violence. He alleged Mr Karunanidhi had not made any attempt to exert pressure on the United Progressive Alliance' (UPA) government at the Centre (of which DMK was a part) to reduce the price of PDS rice during its two-year rule. But now, he was promising PDS rice at Rs two a kg if elected to power, Mr Vaiko added. UNI GSM GM AK HS1842
