DMK renominates seven sitting MLAs Chennai | April 10, 2006 4:33:50 PM IST
The DMK today renominated seven sitting MLAs to contest next month's Assembly elections in the Union Territory of Pondicherry.DMK had inked a pact with the ruling Congress yesterday to contest 11 seats in the Union Territory. Releasing the list of 10 candidates, the DMK has renominated S P Sivakumar (Raj Bhavan), DMK Pondicherry unit Convener R V Janakiraman (Nellithope), A M H Nazim (Karaikal North), Dr M A S Subramanian (Mudaliarpet), V M C Sivakumar (Niravi), R Siva (Orleanpet) and Anibal Kennedy (Bussy). The Party has fielded U C Arumugam at Oupplam, Nanda D Saravanan at Muthailpet and A Krishnan at Mannadipet. The candidate for the Ossudu (reserved) constituency would be announced later, a DMK release said here. UNI GV SC PM1535
