Minorities Front alleges poll violations New Delhi | April 10, 2006 4:33:43 PM IST
The All India Minorities Front (AIMF) has complained to the Election Commission about violation of the election code during polling in Asom today.AIMF President S M Asif met the Election Commission Secretary in-charge of Asom K Ajay Kumar and made the complaint, an AIMF release here said. Since morning, three AIMF candidates and other candidates supported by the party had reported poll violations, he said. The violations reported include transportation of voters by political parties, movement of vehicles without election permits and unauthorised persons at booths set up by political parties in Goalpara (west and east), Bilasipara (east), Bijni, Jania, Sorbhog, Abhayapuri (north), Golokganj, Barpeta and Bongoigaon.
