Congress candidate files nominations for byelection Patna | April 07, 2006 3:43:50 PM IST
Congress-RJD combine candidate Rana Ajay Kumar Singh today filed nomination paper for the Patna (west) assembly constituency for which by-election is scheduled on April 24.Chief spokesman of state Congress, Prem Chandra Mishra told mediapersons that party would make the the "failure" of the NDA government during its four month tenure as the main election issue during the campaign. He said power crisis in the state capital has made the lives of the people miserable and it will prove as an added advantage for the party in the byelection. "Congress will seek votes on the clean image of party president Sonia Gandhi," he added. LJP is also expected to support the Congress candidate, he claimed. UNI XC/DH TJP RN 1444
