Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President and Union Agricultural Minister Sharad Pawar has said no party will be able to form a majority government in Assam.Addressing a press conference in Guwahati, Pawar said Assam would have to accept the coalition concept, and added that the NCP will play a vital role in the formation of the next government in the state. "It is true that looking at the overall situation of Assam, no single party will be able to get a clear majority and in Assam the coalition concept has to be accepted. And in the coalition concept, NCP will definitely play a very important and constructive role," said Sharad Pawar, President, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). Meanwhile, the NCP has said that it will dissociate itself from any communal force and would provide strength and support to secular elements. The NCP has 45 seats in Assam.
