RPI(Athwale) to contest three seats in Assembly poll Pondicherry | April 05, 2006 5:34:33 PM IST
The Republican Party of India (Athwale) would contest three seats in the May three and eight assembly elections in the Union Territory, party state president S Gnanamurty said today.Talking to newspersons here he said the party would contest two reserved constituencies and one general and added that D Veeran will contest from Bahour constituency, while E Latchumanan will contest from Nedumgadu. He said the candidate for Thattanchavady, would be officially announced on April nine. Mr Gnanamurty said that in the other constituencies, the party would support candidates, who seek their support, other than DMK, Congress and AIADMK. He said the party president Ramdoss Atwale will visit Pondicherry for electioneering on May two. He further added that the party would release its election manifesto on April 14, the birth anniversary of Dr Ambedkar. UNI PAB SHB HT1632
