No changes in Congress list:Chennithala Thrissur | April 02, 2006 6:33:57 PM IST
Despite facing threats from rebel candidates, KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala today said the Congress will not make any changes in its list of candidates for the coming assembly polls.Speaking at a 'face-to-face' programme organised by the Thrissur Press Club, he asserted that there would not be any rebels in the UDF by the last date for withdrawal of nominations. Asked about rebel candidates of the Democratic Indira Congress (Karunakaran) in some constituencies, he said this would also be settled. It had already discussed the issue with DIC(K) leader K Muraleedharan. Mr Chennithala said the Congress and DIC(K) workers would work together to win the elections. The KPCC President launched the election campaign of the United Democratic Front here today inaugurating the election meeting of Thrissur candidate, Speaker Therambil Ramakrishnan.
