Launching his election campaign in the Malampuzha constituency today, CPI(M) politburo member V S Achuthanandan mounted a scathing attack on the ''anti-development policies'' of the United Democratic Front Government. He said India's vote on the Iran nuclear issue, problems in the educational sector and anti-development policies of the present government would dominate in the Left Democratic Front campaign for the April-May Assembly polls. Referring to the CPI(M) politburo's decision to reverse its earlier decision of not giving ticket to him, Mr Achuthanandan said the politburo changed the stand in view of the popular sentiments expressed by the people.
