TRS decidents meet AP Congress Chief K Keshava Rao Hyderabad | March 29, 2006 7:49:26 PM IST
Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) dissidents today met Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) President K Keshava Rao and expressed their confidence in the Congress leadership for achieving separate Telangana state. Later, speaking to reporters, TRS dissident MLAs, Mandadi Satyanarayana Reddy, Santosh Reddy, Dugyala Srinivasa Rao and Sara Rani said the TRS always believed that Telangana would be a reality under the leadership of the Congress. They said they always tried to maintain good relationship with the Congress. ''But the TRS President and others tried to project us as traitors of Telangana. Now it appears they (TRS leaders) have realised their mistake of maintaining distance from Congress'', they added. They pointed that TRS supremo and Union Labour Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao himself met the PCC Chief K Keshava Rao. The dissident leaders, who were till recently raising their voice against TRS President K Chandrasekhara Rao, today came down heavily on TRS floor leader Dr Vijayarama Rao. They alleged that Dr Rao was not fit to be the TRS floor leader as he had failed in his duty to project the plight of Telangana in the right perspective. They also demanded that he should be removed from the post. UNI ASJ/JRK JN HT1720
