Thandie Newton fell in love with hubby at first sight
London | November 08, 2009 9:40:38 AM IST

Actress Thandie Newton has revealed that she had to dump her ex-boyfriend because she fell in love with her future husband Ol Parker.

The 'RocknRolla' star said that she was head over heels in love with Parker when she met him in 1997.

"He wrote a screenplay called In Your Dreams that I filmed in 1997. It's very unusual to have writers around on set because directors don't want them there. But they love having Ol around. He was on set every day and I fell madly in love with him..." the Daily Express quoted her as telling Britain's InStyle magazine.

She added: "I'd never experienced that before. Up until then, my relationships had always been more based on people wanting to be with me. When I met Ol, I was dating a really sweet, lovely man and I had to leave him straight away, even though I wasn't even going out with Ol!

"But as soon as I met Ol, it kind of cut off any other blood vessels to anywhere else. We got married about two years later; we've just had our 11th wedding anniversary."

The pair has two daughters- Ripley and Nico- together. (ANI)
