"The international competition section will have 20 films selected from six countries, including Germany, Ecuador, UK, India, Italy and France," Manoj Srivastava, CEO of the Entertainment Society of Goa, the nodal agency organising the festival, said at a press conference here Friday.

Srivastava said the films recommended by the panel of juries headed by filmmaker Pankaj Parashar were "Red Alert" (Hindi) by Anant Mahadevan, "And it Goes" (English) by Amol Palekar, "Vimukhti" (Kannada) by P. Sheshadri, "I am 24" (Hindi) by Saurabh Shukla, "Shahrukh Bola Khoobsurat Hai Tu" (Hindi) by Makrand Deshpande, "Zagor" (Konkani) by Sangram Gaikwad, "Janma" (Marathi) by Tapan Acharya and "God lives in the Himalayas" (English) by Sanjaeev Srinivas.

"We will also have a Kingfisher village on the banks of the river Mandovi where entertainment events will be held each evening," the CEO added.
