Ex Miss California settles suit with pageant officials 'after sex tape expose'
Melbourne | November 05, 2009 12:48:04 PM IST

The legal spat between former Miss California Carrie Prejean and pageant officials has come to an end after both the parties reached a confidential settlement.

Prejean and the organisers issued a joint statement saying they "wish each other the best in their future endeavours."

According to TMZ, the 22-year-old sought more than a million dollars during her settlement negotiations until the lawyer for the pageant showed her a XXX sex tape, featuring her as the protagonist, reports the Daily Telegraph.

The beauty was said to have taken about 15 seconds to take back her demands and agree to a 100,000-dollar payout. The entire amount reportedly bares the cost of her attorneys and leaves her empty handed.

Prejean was dethroned after being caught up in a controversy involving her open opposition to gay marriage and a nude photo shoot.

She slapped the state organization with a lawsuit alleging she lost her title over her religious beliefs.

The pageant accused her of missing events and filed a countersuit. (ANI)
