Rihanna finally opens up about Chris Brown
Washington | November 03, 2009 2:10:38 PM IST

Rihanna has finally broken her silence about the much-publicised beating she got from ex-beau Chris Brown nine months back.

The 'Umbrella' singer was left bruised and bloody after the fateful Grammy Awards night in Feb (09).

And in an interview with Diane Sawyer, the singer, 21, has for the first time spoken about the ill-fated incident.

"This happened to me. ... It can happen to anyone," People quoted Rihanna as saying.

Rihanna said that it was particularly difficult because of the special place Brown held in her heart.

"He was definitely my first big love," she said.

However, now both singers have worked to move on.

The interview will be airing Thursday on 'Good Morning America' and on '20/20' on Friday. (ANI)
