London | May 17, 2008 4:23:31 PM IST

He might be one of the top Hollywood actors today, but Harrison Ford was shy and awkward during his drama school days.

One of Ford's old schoolfriends revealed that the Indian Jones star was not always hot stuff back in drama school.

The actor was joined by his old school-friends at the Cannes Film Festival where his latest Indian Jones flick, 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' will be premiered on May 18.

The 65-year-old actor's friends were staying at the 1,500 pounds-a-night Hotel du Cap and while enjoying at a reunion on the terrace, one of them revealed that the actor was quite different in school as he is now.

"He may be a big star now but he was not always hot stuff back in drama school. He was shy and awkward and, well, pretty stiff actually," the Mirror quoted the pal, as saying.

Ford's latest Indy film comes 19 years after 1989s 'The Last Crusade' which was the third instalment of the Indiana Jones trilogy. (ANI)
