Kids need no longer feel bored during their summer vacations as the 8th International Children's Film Festival has strung more than 40 films from across the world for screening at theatres here. "We have kept the popular films for the weekends so that a large number of kids can pour into the theatre," said Parimaal Mukherjee, vice-president of the Cine Central film society - the organiser of the festival, Friday. The festival was inaugurated Wednesday. One of the main venues is the popular Nandan theatre. "This weekend we will screen Arend Agthe's 'Hen In A Boat' (Germany) on Saturday and Sandra Nettlebeck's 'Sergeant Pepper' (Germany)." "There are 40 films from countries like Germany, Czech Republic, Russia, France, Japan, Iran and Sri Lanka, besides the Indian ones. The films will also be screened at three other theatres in Kolkata," he said.
