Diaz supporting cultural film festival Los Angeles | May 11, 2008 12:01:13 AM IST
Actress Cameron Diaz is lending her support to Pangea Day, a Los Angeles film festival dedicated to different cultures. E! Online said Friday that the What Happens in Vegas star planned to attend Saturday's festival to show her support for the fight against cultural intolerance. Diaz appeared in a public service announcement advertising the festival and its goal. We all share the same planet and we only have one of 'em, and the more that we know about each other and the more that we tell each other about ourselves, the more likenesses we see that we have, Diaz said. Storytelling is age-old, something we've done since the beginning of man -- it's how we relate to each other ... Because we are a global tribe, that storytelling must expand to be inclusive to everyone. Similar events were scheduled to take place in Cairo and London, as well as in cities in Brazil, India and Rwanda. (UPI)
