Trump gives Miss USA Tara Connor a second chance Washington | December 20, 2006 3:18:34 PM IST
Contentious Miss USA 2006 Tara Connor will retain the title as she has been given a second chance by Donald Trump. After her wild partying habits and talk of her drug abuse made the rounds around the US, speculations were rife about Trump firing her for misconduct, according to TMZ. But on December 19, the millionaire mogul put speculations to rest at a press conference by revealing that the beleaguered Miss USA will keep her crown, and that she will also be checking into rehab. "Tara can serve as somebody more important than Miss USA. She is a great example for troubled people throughout this country...that have problems with alcohol...problems with life," All Headline News quoted Trump, as saying. A tearful Connor said she felt blessed for getting a second chance and promised to dump her wild, party-going ways and become the role model expected of a Miss USA title-holder. (ANI)
