Fingerhut pressure washers recalled Washington | May 10, 2008 12:01:13 AM IST
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall Friday of Craft Pressure Washers due to fire hazard. No injuries have been reported, but importer Fingerhut Direct Marketing of Eden Prairie, Minn., has received four reports of smoking motors, including one fire outbreak, CPSC said in a statement. About 1,900 of the pressure washers were sold through Fingerhut catalogs and over the Internet between July 2007 and March 2008, retailing for about $100. Consumers were advised to stop using the washers immediately, unplug them and return the products to Fingerhut for a refund or a replacement. Pre-paid shipping can be arranged through Fingerhut, the statement said. Consumers can also call Fingerhut Direct Marketing at 866-931-5417 for more information. (UPI)
